Composition Guidelines for the perfect picture

Red Triangles or Red Areas outside the image

Red Triangles are formed when you rotate an image, they indicate areas outside of the area of the print. You can get rid of them by zooming in. However, zooming in effectively lowers the resolution of your image, so if the resolution of the image you uploaded is small to begin with you may find out that you can't zoom in enough to get rid of the red areas. Likewise if you zoom out too far, you will get a red border around the image. This indicates that you've zoomed out too far and there isn't enough of the image to cover the product.

What are the shaded area and blue lines for?

With certain products, such as Canvases and Acrylic prints, there are areas which are either wrapped around the side of the frame (Canvas) or cropped off (Acrylic), these areas are shaded so you can visualise what will actually appear on the finished product. Neither the shading or blue lines will be printed out, they are simply for guidance when you setup the image.

It says I can't zoom in beyond a certain point, why is this?

When you zoom into an image you effectively reduce the resolution of the image as only a reduced portion of the image gets printed onto the finished product. All of our products have minimum resolutions we will accept for a given print area. If the website detects that by zooming in you would go under these limits, it will prevent you from zooming in any further.

Do you offer any finishing touch services to the images?

We pride ourselves on the quality of our products, both in the makeup of the product and the quality of the printout. For more information on how proud we are of this please have a read of our Quality page. During the quality process we inspect every image we print. Sometimes we will make slight adjustments to the colours or brightness of an image to ensure this quality is maintained. Equally, if an image is not up to our quality checks, we will contact you. If you would like any minor adjustments please make sure you mention them in the comments box during checkout, we will try our best to accodomate any requests, although we can't promise it.
